McCain[edit]

Due to his recent negative comments made about D&D players you may want to get McCain in here somewhere. -- Sepsis 14:01, 29 August 2008 (MDT)

That assumes that he's elected president. Also, it makes mention of a pantheon of Four Evil gods, so far we have Nixon, Hoover, and Harrison. Instead of advocating Bush (possibly the Aggravator?), I'll suggest we used Andrew Johnson.
What did McCain say (whoever he is)? --Sam Kay 13:47, 30 August 2008 (MDT)
I've seen what he said. ADD HIM! --Sam Kay 09:20, 28 September 2008 (MDT)
Archivist here, and I at least will not be adding McCain into the preexisting pantheon for three reasons. One, I don't want to make this an intensely political thing, which would destroy its purpose. Two, doing something like that would be rather petty- we want to show them that these Basement-Dwelling-Nerds know a thing or two about courtesy in war, no matter what level the battle is at. And three, McCain didn't say that: some fuckbend on his staff did.
Which doesn't mean I wouldn't be up for McCain and Obama showing up, say, in a quest as two New Gods dueling for a spot in the pantheon, and the players get to help swing the balance. But in the interest of keeping the setting as is relatively pure, no McCain as preexisting.
Also, to clarify: I'm still definitely voting Obama. And I agree on Johnson for the fourth spot, but I just can't figure out how to write him in. I could use some help here. Bush Jr. will be a Minor Evil God (again, don't want to make this overtly political, but I'm surprised he has any support left), along with two others also not decided yet. --The Archivist 15:32, 28 September 2008 (MDT)

Eh. Pretty late to put this in, but I would suggest using Grant as an evil god. Evil not in name or actions, but evil because of association.

Emperor Norton. Lawful Evil God, tried to reach for presidentism and beyond, declaring himself emperor, thinking he would better the lives of everyone. Was cursed for his actions. Followers do the same, grabbing power by any means under the idea they will better people's lives. Sort of like Vecna.

American Gods[edit]

Read the book titled American Gods. Might give you some ideas.   Hooper   talk    contribs    email   09:00, 5 December 2008 (MST)
