Talk:Alu-Fiend (5e Race)
From D&D Wiki
Is this race a playable race? Like legit enough for normal games? I am looking into evil races for an evil campaign. Is there a reference...oh never mind i see it...let me know.
I don't know if it was the original creator, but someone came by and messed this race up bad. I remember it being at least potentially playable before.--Dorlon (talk) 05:39, 25 April 2017 (UTC)
I made some edits to this race. Removed Shade Embrace, changed the ASI, and made it either persuasion or deception. I think the amount of spells it has (that also scale with level) is enough to keep it viable. I was not the original creator. --JMAP94 (talk) 15:51, 30 June 2017 (MDT)
- Just added quite a bit. Mostly flavor text. The idea for an Alu-fiend craving any form of social interaction comes from another homebrew Alu-fiend page (for 4e) that I read recently. Personally, I like the idea as a way of giving a player more social options than just "I'm going to flirt with them because I'm half succubus". Craving deep conversation or other forms of interaction I think has a lot of roleplaying potential. If others disagree, you're welcome to change it. Thought about writing up a small blurb on what an Alu-fiend raised by their demonic parent might be like. Decided against it. If anyone has anything better than "she acts just like a succubus if raised on the demon plane" feel free to add on.
- Also changed the walk speed to 30 (40 was faster than every race's walkspeed - including a succubus)
- Not the original creator, btw. Sorry if these additions clash with the original intent. Hopefully people enjoy them. --Darkdesigns (talk) 02:11, 21 July 2017 (MDT)

Gender[edit]
Is there a reason why it's always female?
I think they did that back in 2e, the males tend to be called Cambion
