Talk:8-Bit Fighter (3.5e Prestige Class)
From D&D Wiki
Fun class[edit]
I have to question the stinginess of a couple of the abilities. Rooster Style, in particular, isn't powerful enough as-is to warrant only be useable once a day; at the very least, it should get a bigger boost to speed--Maybe 1.5 times their normal speed. It could seriously be an encounter power and last for the Fighter's Charisma bonus. Just off the top of my head, anyway. Genowhirl 17:09, 16 November 2008 (MST)
Rating[edit]
Power - 4/5 The class is balanced, the only flaw I see is with the Dragon Style. It doesn't say if a reflex save is needed or the frequency of use. --Lord Dhazriel 12:33, 11 February 2009 (MST)
Wording - 4/5 Some mechanic are hard to understand, like the dragon style said above. Otherwise everything seem pretty clean. --Lord Dhazriel 12:33, 11 February 2009 (MST)
Formatting - 3/5 Some missing sections. Like 8-bit Fighter in the Game. Tables are clean. --Lord Dhazriel 12:33, 11 February 2009 (MST)
Flavor - 4/5 I like this one, a bit humorous, like the webcomic. --Lord Dhazriel 12:33, 11 February 2009 (MST)
Confused about 8-bit knight[edit]
I have a question. The fighter part goes up to level 10, but the knight portion says that it starts once you reach level 20. Please explain your reasoning.
Rating[edit]
Power - 4/5 I give this class a 4 out of 5 because it lacks the ability to heal itself--Lzoc 15:09, 11 April 2011 (MDT)
Wording - 4/5 it has minor problems with wording otherwise great--Lzoc 15:09, 11 April 2011 (MDT)
Formatting - 4/5 I give this class a 4 out of 5 because because it is well formatted and only had one problem with the formatting in my opinion--Lzoc 15:09, 11 April 2011 (MDT)
Flavor - 4/5 I give this class a 4 out of 5 because while it is cool its just an improvement to an old class so i can't justify a full 5 points--Lzoc 15:09, 11 April 2011 (MDT)
Suggestion[edit]
Wouldn't it make more sense to have the 8-bit classes as base classes and have the knight,w-wiz,b-wiz,r-wiz,ninja and master be prestige classes because prestige classes are supposed to be sorta like an advanced class anyway, the bahamut "trial" quest and attaining level 10 would be the requirement.
