Recent Changes[edit]

I recently tagged this class, and decided to edit myself those things that i saw as problems with this article. These are my motives. I tried to keep the same features, but changing the order you gain them, the power and, some times, the name.

Class[edit]

Spellcasting

Since the creator himself changed this class to become a half caster, i changed the feature description, and worked the other features of this class around it, by removing the cantrips, and the 9th, 13th and 17th level features.

Subclasses

Added one subclass feature, since most subclasses gain features in at least four distinct levels. Also, reworded the subclasses, although didn't make any change on them. Yet.

Extra Attack

Removed one of the extra attacks to make room for an additional feature in the subclass.

Weapon Mastery

I bring this feature down from 5th to 1st level feature, since it adds to creating a identity for this class. I changed the progression of this feature, and reduced the maximum bonus to attack and damage rolls from +4 to +2. And i removed one of the benefits given by Helsing Speed (ability to make attacks using Dex instead of Str with one handed weapons) and put it on weapon mastery, since it makes more sense. Additionally, since the description originally mentioned a "favored weapon", some of these features will apply only to an specific weapon, splitting this feature in two.

Steel Mind and Steel Body

Merged and nerfed this feature, removing the advantage on ability checks, and being specific on what kind of effects you have advantage against only certain creatures. A copy the text from the 20th level feature, so you can chose between that list as well, to become resistant against.

Familiar

Now, it requires a bonus action to command the familiar to attack.

Dire Wolf form, Giant Bat form and Mist form

Those are now only one feature, spending the same resources. Also, the ability to shapeshift didn't match that much the class as a whole, so i demoted it, making it a subclass feature.

Eldritch Slayer

Have become the capstone, because its a very op feature.

Soul Steal and Hellfire

Instead of giving a specific spell, i'll give to him something like the warlock feature, giving it a single 6th level spell slot and a spell from any spell list he has access to.

Recent Changes 2[edit]

I'm currently merging pages with similar theme that are incomplete. The pages in question are the Eldritch Hunter, the Eldritch Hunter (Variant), the Helsing and the Van Helsing paes. The fragments of content in each page can serve as pieces to built a complete article. Anastacio (talk) 15:52, 7 October 2021 (MDT)
