The Ambit Sword is a long, wide sword with an extra or very long grip to stabilize the blade when striking far opponents. Because of the size and handle, the Ambit Sword is an Exotic Weapon (with the additional prerequisite of Str 13).
Description[edit]
This weapon has reach. Because the length of the weapon is a blade, you can also strike opponents adjacent to your square, but this means that you always strike two squares (as a creature with a 5 foot reach). This means that you can’t flank with this weapon if its range would also include striking a character or creature friendly to you.
