Swarm of Bats[edit]
Physical Description[edit]
You are a swarm (which can vary from tiny to colossal size) of tiny, unaligned creatures led by one "bat queen" which is magically enhanced to have a mind, alignment, and language.
History[edit]
The bat queens were created when spells cast near bats went wrong. Using their superior intellect and persuasion, they amassed a swarm of followers which helped and protected them. Most bat queens live like regular bats until they have a reason to create their own swarms.
Society[edit]
Bat queens, though called “queens” may be male or female. They are at home with regular bats, and have very batlike tendencies. The culture of bats includes excitement over food and reproduction, appreciation for a warm, dry ceiling, and a fear of the sun. Bat queens often wonder what there is to life besides all this, and may end up isolated and dissatisfied with their brethren. They often seek out other intelligent species to chat with, and overcome their fear of daylight.
Bat Swarm Names[edit]
Bat swarms often decide communally on names suggested by the queen. The swarm name functions more like the name of a tribe rather than the name of an individual, and often ends in the word swarm. Some common names include foods, places, or objects important to bats. Their names seldom have gender, as both male and female bats make up a swarm. However, if bats are not the same species as the queen or do not like the name of the swarm, they will be less inclined to join.
