a small surgical scalpel used for the precise and direct attacks of a trained combat surgeon. a small inch long curved blade with a 5 inch pencil grip handle. when used as a melee weapon it can deal either slashing or piercing damage at the choice of the user. when thrown however it can only deal piercing damage.
grants a +2 circumstance bonus to heal checks. a+2 bonus to sleight of hand checks to hide the scalpel.
upon a melee critical hit (excluding creatures immune to critical hits) the enemy must make a fortitude save as though they were struck with a coup de grace
