Sumo (3.5e Monk Fighting Style)
From D&D Wiki
Sumo[edit]
Sumo is a form of wrestling popular among larger creatures such as Giants, as well as certain humanoids.
1st-Level Skill Bonus: Intimidate +2.
1st-Level Feat: Improved Grapple.
2nd-Level Feat: Clever Wrestling.
6th-Level Feat: Earth's Embrace.
6th-Level Bonus Ability: Powerful Build: The physical stature of a Sumo wrestler at this level lets him function in many ways as if he were one size category larger. Whenever a Sumo wrestler is subject to a size modifier or special size modifier for an opposed check (such as during grapple checks, bull rush attempts, and trip attempts), he is treated as one size category larger if doing so is advantageous to him. A Sumo Wrestler is also considered to be one size larger when determining whether a creature's special attacks based on size (such as improved grab or swallow whole) can affect him. A Sumo Wrestler can use weapons designed for a creature one size larger without penalty. However, his space and reach remain those of a creature of his actual size. The benefits of this racial trait stack with the effects of powers, abilities, and spells that change the subject's size category.
Prerequisites: Strength 15, Weapon Focus (Grapple).
