Sugar Warrior[edit]

Your innate magic comes from the powers of Sucrosia and the Tart Lands. Perhaps one of your ancestors was a cookie, a baker mage, a sweet witch, or a goddess of food. This lineage gives you access to the power of cookies past, allowing you to harness some of their power to aid you.

This subclass is kind of a throw in the air but its obviously not finished and the spells have to be picked out.

Flavor of Heroes[edit]

At first level you can choose to gain an additional flavor to your sugar magic, choose one of the following flavors: At first level, when you gain access to sugar magic, you choose a flavor and gain its feature. Once you choose a Flavor of Heroes you cannot change it again. You take on the smell of this flavor and it weaves its way into your magic. At your option, you also gain minor physical attributes that are reminiscent of your flavor. For example, if you have a Blueberry flavor, you might have freckles that glow, or if your flavor is Lemon, your eyes may shift in the colors of citrus. These attributes can vary from caster to caster.

Your flavor might be one of the flavors related to those listed here but can be switched out for a personalized flavor or food. For example, you could choose Guava or Apple in place of Blueberry and Chocolate or Peanut instead of Vanilla. Truly its just for, Flavor.

Confection Connection[edit]

Starting at 6th level, your connection with your flavor unlocks new powers as your control of Sugar Magic strengthens. You gain a magical benefit based on the flavor of your choice. You can choose the same flavor you selected at 1st level or a different one.

Blueberry Connection

A number of times equal to your Proficiency modifier you can, by expending a bonus action or by sacrificing 3 sorcery points, gain the following benefits for 6 minutes:

-While you are not wearing any armor, your Armor Class equals 12 + your Dexterity Modifier + your Charisma Modifier.

-As a bonus action, you can shelter an ally or person, taking them into your protection. Until the start of your next turn, as long as the person or ally is within 10ft of you, attacks against them have disadvantage.

-When you activate Blueberry Connection you are healed for 3d8 hit points. Additionally, you gain 1d8 temporary hit points at the beginning of each of your turns. These temporary hit points disappear at the start of your next turn.

Vanilla Connection

A number of times equal to your Proficiency modifier you can, by expending a bonus action or by sacrificing 3 sorcery points, gain the following benefits for 6 minutes:

-You gain a spectral weapon of your choice, though you can talk it over with your DM. You are proficient with it while you wield it. When you attack with that weapon, you can use your Charisma modifier, instead of Strength or Dexterity, for the attack and damage rolls. This weapon counts as magical for the purpose of overcoming resistance and immunity to nonmagical attacks and damage.

-Your movement speed increases by 20. You gain a flying speed equal to your movement speed.

Cookie's Ward[edit]

Through practice and hard work, your connection to sugar magic has crystalized into a new power, Cookie's Ward. The Cookie's Ward protects your allies by making you a beacon of hope. Starting at 14th level you gain the following abilities depending on your selected Confection Connection:

Blueberry

While under the effects of your Blueberry Connection, you cannot be crit on, critical hits are treated like normal hits. Additionally, when an ally 30 ft begins their turn they gain 2d8 temporary hit points. A creature cannot benefit from this ability if they are at 0 hit points. Temporary hit points last until their next turn, then they disappear.

Sour Exit

Once per day, or by sacrificing 5 sorcery points, you can secure a route to safety. By expending an action, you and 2 allies within 15 feet of you can move 40 feet without provoking opportunity attacks. Your allies move on the action you trigger this ability.

Vanilla

While under the effects of your Vanilla Connection, you gain an aura with a range of 30 feet. This aura grants all nearby allies a bonus to their saving throws equal to your Charisma modifier, as well as advantage against being frightened and charmed.

Cinnamon Strike

Once per day, or by sacrificing 5 sorcery points, you can attempt to weaken your foe. When you cast a damaging spell or make an attack roll and it hits a target or damages them, you can give a −2 penalty to the enemy's AC until the end of your next turn.

A La Mode[edit]

Starting at 18th level, your sugar magic has evolved past a beacon of hope, into a warrior of destiny.

As a bonus action, you can tap into a special power of your current Confection Connection.

Blueberry

You momentarily scatter blueberries everywhere, throwing them at your enemies and terraforming the ground. Each creature of your choice within 30 feet of you must succeed on a Dexterity saving throw against your spell save DC or take 3d10 necrotic damage and have its speed reduced to 0 until the end of its next turn. In addition, the 30 feet range, becomes difficult terrain for your enemies.

Vanilla

A wicked vanilla glow erupts from your weapon, lighting the way and damaging your enemies. Each creature of your choice within 30 feet of you must succeed on a Constitution saving throw against your spell save DC or take 3d10 radiant damage and be blinded until the end of its next turn. In addition, one ally within that 30 feet range may use its reaction to cast a spell with 1 target or take the attack action against an enemy within 10 feet of them.

Once you use one of these action benefits, you can’t use that benefit again until you finish a long rest, unless you spend 5 sorcery points to use it again.
