This Story is a supplement for the Strixhaven: A Curriculum of Chaos Module that looks to: Add an overarching story in the Reimagined Oriq's plans, Add new and interesting details to Strixhaven, Arcavios, and all the planes at large, Make the story interplanar for Off Plane activities
'Background:' 8 years before the year our players entered into Strixhaven was "The Siege of Strixhaven". On this day, the Oriq, led by Extuss Narr, attacked the Strixhaven Campus. The attack led to the deaths of thousands of students, staff, visitors, and even the previous Oracle sacrificing herself.
'Redefining Strixhaven' Strixhaven, in this story, is focused on 3 key roles, Education, Archival, and Regulation. Strixhaven is still the most known magical University, however instead of being local, Strixhaven is reimagined as a place that students from across several different planes, leading to a more diverse background. Strixhaven is also focused on its mission to Archive a copy of every magical 'thing' it can find, and will actively send out expeditions in order to search for magical artifacts they have yet to document. Finally Strixhaven also acts as the InterPlanar Magical Governance Organization. Being a place where legislation about the workings of magic is decided, and actively funding their own efforts into controlling magic.
The New Oracle: The School's Oracle takes a more active approach, acting more so as a University President. This Oracle is the 29 year old Human, Nerissinia Ophalie. She was directly chosen by the previous Oracle right before her sacrifice. She is nervous about her position but seeks to better student's lives.
The Council Adding to Strixhaven's governance history is also the Council, a group of 10 members plus the Oracle. These 11 control all the happenings of Strixhaven, The Archives, and the IPMGO. One notable member of the Council is Dr. Tobias Blackstone, a former Dragonsguard who lost his Fiancee and his daughter during the Siege of Strixhaven
The Dragonsguard For each of the 10 council, they have a specific assigned Dragonsguard, 2 from each School. Dragonsguard are often times in their Graduate or Doctorates while at Strixhaven, and have been at thee top of their class.
'The Oriq' The Oriq have been reimagined into a new entity. And as such have had a lot of changes to them
The Blood Cult The most significant change to the Oriq is that it is now, not only an organization opposed to Strixhaven, but a cult that was formed for the sanctity of blood. Though many members of the Oriq may not be so zealous about blood, their powers reside in their ability to modify and control blood.
The Plaetors The 10 highest ranking members of the Oriq are known as The Plaetors, The Plaetors are made of the survivors of The Siege of Strixhaven, and are seeking to destroy Strixhaven and to save the planes.
