Death Burst. When the stoneborn dies, it explodes in a burst of stone fragments. Each creature within 10 feet of it must make a DC 15 Dexterity saving throw, taking 10 (3d6) bludgeoning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one. If the stoneborn died because of bludgeoning, piercing or slashing damage, it deals 21 (6d6) bludgeoning damage instead.

ACTIONS

Multiattack. The stoneborn makes two attacks.

Maul. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) bludgeoning damage.

Heavy Crossbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, range 100/400 ft., one target. Hit: 6 (1d10 + 1) piercing damage.

BONUS ACTIONS

Rumble (1/Day). The stoneborn casts the wall of stone spell (save DC 15) and begins rumbling for 1 minute. While it is rumbling, the stoneborn sheds bright light in a 30-foot radius and dim light for an additional 30 feet. Additionally, the stoneborn creates two additional wall of stone panels which each must be contiguous with at least one wall of stone panel it has already created using Rumble and takes 10 (3d6) bludgeoning damage at the start of each of its turns. This damage cannot be reduced or avoided by any means.

Far more powerful than the average stoneborn, stoneborn granites are elite warriors imbued with the power of elemental earth, which they use to create sturdy walls from the earth itself. Most at home standing on their own two feet, stoneborn granites are leery of those who travel over water, but especially those who go by air. Granites are also known to become incredibly distressed when they can see the sky, so they spend their time underground or in windowless rooms if they must be on the surface.
