The Stone Obelisk[edit]

Warlock Subclass

Gladius, the Onyx Blade, is an Old One which stands as the highest mountain in the world of Grisaire. While it is often asleep and seemingly doing nothing, Gladius' mere presence serves as a part of the lock with keeps the greatest forces roiling in R'Leth at bay. Both a guardian and a weapon of the gods, Gladius is a patron for warlocks who have something they wish to protect. True devotees to Gladius tend to be stoic people with patience, like the mountain which endures time. It is said that those who are able to reach the peak of Gladius are the only ones known to be worthy warlocks of this patron. All others will fall upon its jagged edges and be cut to pieces.

Expanded Spell List[edit]

The following spells are added to the warlock spell list for you.

5th wall of stone, destructive wave

Move a Mountain[edit]

Starting at 1st level, you have advantage in all checks to grapple or shove creatures equal to or smaller than your size.

Additionally, you have advantage in saving throws against any effects that move you against your will.

All-Cut Coat[edit]

Starting at 6th level, you can implement the powerful guard of Gladius onto tools and weapons to make them more deadly. As an action, you touch up to 5 items that can be weapons or armor. Armors grant an additional +1 bonus to AC. Weapons become coated in a special guard which can change its shape to different damage types. You can choose what damage type the weapon changes to. For the purpose of bypassing resistances, the weapon's damage all becomes magical. All items touched with this feature become unbreakable and this feature's effects last for 24 hours. You cannot use this feature again until you finish a long rest.

Guardian's Projection[edit]

Starting at 10th level, your pact control projects into a protective aura around yourself. While you are wearing no armor and not wielding a shield, your AC equals 10 + your Dexterity modifier + your Charisma modifier.

Infallible Defender[edit]

Like Gladius, you stand tall in the face of adversity to protect others, even if you should fall. Starting at 14th level, when you drop to 0 hit points you can immediately choose up to 3 other creatures within 30 feet of you, no action necessary. The targets gain your AC if their own AC is lower. This AC lasts for 24 hours or until you return to at least 1 hit point. You must finish a long rest before using this feature again.
