Curse of the Stars. At night, the stellar beast turns into a beast. At sunrise, it turns back into a humanoid and loses all memories of what happened during the night. It always reverts to its humanoid form if it dies. The beast only has access to its skills and saving throw proficiencies while in beast form. In humanoid form, all of its statistics are 10 (+0).

Regeneration (Beast Form Only). The stellar beast regains 10 hit points at the start of its turn, and half as much if it took radiant damage during its last turn.

ACTIONS

Multiattack (Beast Form Only). The beast makes two attacks, only one of which can be a bite attack.

Dagger (Humanoid Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +3 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 2 (1d4) piercing damage.

Bite (Beast Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) piercing damage.

Claw (Beast Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 17 (3d8 + 4) slashing damage.

Etherealness (Beast Form Only). The beast enters the Ethereal Plane from the Material Plane, or vice versa.

The stellar beast is a strange being created by a corrupting force from beyond the stars. A human touched by this power will transform into a hideous monstrosity at night and be driven to seek out and kill other human beings. This curse can affect anyone, no matter if good or bad, and does in fact seem to corrupt virtuous souls more often. The victim will be entirely unaware of the horrid change it undergoes night by night for the memories of beast and human are kept separate. No cure is known for this curse. Slaying those affected is the only way to end it.
