Steelweb Spider (4e Creature)

Steelweb Spiders delight in capturing other creatures for eating or for a reward of meat or treasure from a trainer (likely a drow). These deadly creatures wrap there victims in there nigh unbreakable threads while they sleep or poison them so they stumble right into there webs.
Lore[edit]
DC 15 Nature or Archana: Steelweb Spider are known for there webs. These webs are made into Spidersilk Armor and are harder then steel (hence the name).
DC 20 Nature or Arcana: Steelweb Spider are easily trainable and are often sent to capture individuals of interest.
DC 25 Nature or Arcana: Steelweb Spider's web can be removed if you first pour water or other liquids over the webs to remove the stick.
Encounters[edit]
Steelweb Spiders are trained easily by drow, priests or cults of lolth or evil mages to do there biding in return for food and treasure.

The SteelWeb Spider Uses Web from A distance until it can successfully use cocoon on a opponent without getting in a melee fight. The Spider Continues to Cocoon and aura of doom the person until it has little hope of escape well using webs to slow its enemies. then the spider will attach the victim to a high on otherwise hard to reach location with spin to the ceiling. Then it will move back in for the next victim until the party is nothing but a few sacks of web ready to be eaten or brought back to the master. |
