Steelbrand (5e Subclass)
From D&D Wiki
Steelbrand[edit]
Armored boar by Linara Khis |
Druid Subclass
They said, a "true" druid "just will not"(!) wear metal. Well, not anymore! You will show them. You will show them all!
- Traitor to the Old
2nd level Steelbrand feature
You gain heavy armor proficiency, and if you could not wear armor made of metal before, you can now.
Additionally, you can adapt your equipment to your Wild Shape, as well as adapt the Shape to equipment. You can always choose to wear and wield your equipment when activating your Wild Shape, and it gives the same benefits as if worn by you normally. For example, if you dual-wield two scimitars while transforming, they can become two curved metal tusks, with which you can make attacks as if dual-wielding two scimitars. While in Wild Shape, you cannot be disarmed. All equipment returns to normal when the Wild Shape ends.
- Extra Attack
6th level Steelbrand feature
You can attack twice, instead of once, whenever you take the Attack action on your turn.
- Crude Iron Soul
10th level Steelbrand feature
The Steel sprouts roots in your body.
When you wear or wield a weapon, armor or shield made of metal, you get a +2 bonus to your Armor Class and all saving throws. Attacks to disarm you from this kind of equipment are made at disadvantage.
- Counternatural
14th level Steelbrand feature
You finally merge with everything that harms the natural order.
As an action, or as part of adapting the Wild Shape, you can emanate a horrific aura embodying everything that Should Not Be and that you Are. All creatures of your choice that you can see within 60 feet of you should make a Wisdom saving throw, becoming frightened by you for 1 hour on a failure or for 1 minute on a success. Beasts, plants, fey and constructs have disadvantage on this saving throw, and the targets become frightened even if they are immune to this condition. Creatures that succeeded on the initial saving throw can repeat it in the beginning of each of their turn, finishing the effect on them on a success.
You can use this ability once, and should finish a long rest to use it again.
