Steambot[edit]
Steambots where created during the Steampunk era as a use for everything, most of them do not have their own character as it is a hassle to create on from magic enchantment. Most of these poor robots usually end up as scraps but some are even known to have created their own characteristic. They come in a wide variety different models doing loads of different things such as flying and swimming. They are made with mostly made with Bronze, Iron, Steel, Copper and Brass. All of these machines are easy to tinker with so naturally lots of variants popped up, each with it's own unique twist. These robots usually look humanoid for reasons of being less scary but other designs do exist.
History[edit]
These robots where first made for everyday life to replace humans at the cost of water and flammables but soon where used for much more then that, soon they where treated as a regular everyday necessity.
Customizability[edit]
These robots have lots of different ports that do a lot of different things these all work together to create these machines, if you take the extra time they might become friendly...
Steambot Names[edit]
They do not tend to have genders but can be build to mimic one.
Male: Razor, Rusty
Female: Piper, Synthesis,
Neutral: Steam, Metronome, Alter
Steambot Traits[edit]
Steambots where built for lots of purposes, there for this race is very customizable. Regulations: The bot must use a main frame. The bot must have 1 head, multiple heads will result in more than personality or thinking power. Ports or shafts are not specific but they do suggest what to put there, this is not for slots. You must have at least 2 legs or 1 wheel with a stabilizer memory drive. All ports must be filled, that also includes memory slots, processing slots and core slots. Your legs or wheels must be able to carry all of your robotic part weight. Please ask your DM if your design is ok before using it. You can't put a port in a slot of a shaft or a slot in a port or a shaft or a shaft in a slot or port. Your subrace code should look something like the (A-(12a)-(sy-(y))-(263)-(AS3))
Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score decreases by 2.
Age. Steambots can last for centuries but usually discarded after a decade or so in fear of the gaining a consciences.
Alignment. These bots can vary from Chaotic Evil to Lawful Good though most of them are neutral.
Size. 3"-17'3"
Speed. Speed is usually based on your robot.
Limited Fuel. You must keep a constraint supply of flammable materials and water as you are powered on steam. Just before sleeping you should power yourself with 1 pound of wood and 1 gallon of water. If you do not do this for 3 days continuedly you will end up shutting down.
Overheating. It is very unhealthy to keep running all day long, you should shut down for at least 8 hours ever 2 days as you will overheat. Not doing this in 2 days will result in taking 4d4 fire damage every time you enter a battle.
Heavy Metal. You can carry 1.5 times more than you regularly would but your robotic weight also counts as something you are carrying.
Customizable. You are probably one of the most customizable race ever, you have a number of ports that you can attach parts to. if you so choose, you can change all of them except for your body as that is where most of the functionality are. To do this you must take 1d10 damage when you rip off a part, you may skip this part if you had your part ripped off unwillingly. You may not leave any ports empty but instead must clog them with a port clog part or you will take 1d2-1 damage for doing that, this also includes if it was ripped off unwillingly.
Construct.
1. You have advantage on saving throws against being poisoned, and you have resistance to poison damage.
2. You don’t need to eat, drink, or breathe.
3. You are immune to disease.
4. You are immune to healing spells or heal by sleep. Instead you can be healed by using 1 feet of copper wire or by using the mending cantrip that heals 1d10+4 Hit Points.
Robotic Functions. Without cores you can't hear, feel or taste. You do not have a consciousness as you are programmed to do what you do. You will gain a consciousness over the course of a year after 10 year, if someone tries to interfere and help you find on you will developed it earlier. You also can't hold things naturally as it depends on your ports.
Languages. This will depend on your memory drive.

Outer Shell. If used with the other modal with Outer Shell (Hip port and leg port) it cause anyone near to you to be able to use you as a protective case, this blocks damage directed at the player even if it is an AOE. You are able to inhabit the same space as the other player and you will gain advantage for every attack that you do, the player within can only use long ranged attacks. Without the other pieces this piece alone can house any creature that is small or less.

Slip Grip. When running more than 20 feet in a strait line instead of being able to make a sudden stop and turn you move an extra 10 feet in that same direction, make an acrobatics check 15+ for smooth surface, 10+ for semi-rough, 5+ for rough or fall prone. You must move in another direction in the middle of going straight for this not to count.
Pinful kick. When every someone attacks an ally or you within 5 feet from you, you launch a counter attack, you will do 1d2-1 piercing damage to them. You may use this ability multiple times per turn, the more Pin Legs you have the more you can do this.
Turret Leg[edit]
Ability Score Increase. A joint that with an enchantment, folds the whole machine into a box.

Super Jump. A steam powered jump that will rocket you 100 feet in the air, you will need to take one turn of doing nothing before and after the jump, you will land perfectly fine and you can more 20 feet forward. You must take a short rest before using this ability again.

Ability Score Increase. A leg made of cables, oddly enough this leg can fit through anything by converting to mesh and even extend to grab things.

Ethereal Sight. You can see a 30 feet radius around you of the ethereal plains.

Ultra Sound. You can detect any sound, though echoes might throw you off, you are able to detect walking steps even if the enemy is invisible in a general direction.

Ability Score Increase. A high pitch frequency that disguise this robot to be invisible, it doesn't work on none living things such as undeads or constructs.
Sound Visibility. You can turn invisible and you are immune to any type of invisibility checks, if there is a loud sound your invisibility will warp a bit showing a glitch to everyone else, once you attack you may not use this invisibility again until you take a long rest.
