Starburst Striker (5e Subclass)
From D&D Wiki
Starburst Striker[edit]
Starburst Strikers usually roam around due to their laid back nature, If not roaming, they are in a town resting, or relaxing out in the wilderness, possibly with someone they love. Most People are in awe in what they do. They call them idiots for sacrificing defense for Power and Speed. Starburst Striker don't worry about tactics, or skill. They use speed to their advantage. They train themselves to hit hard and accurately, as fast as possible with their melee weapons. Very few Starburst Strikers leave home without some sort of enchanted weapon.
- Enhanced Finesse
Starting when you choose this archetype at 3rd level, when cause damage to a creature with an attack from a melee weapon you have proficiency with, you can cause additional damage equal to your Dexterity modifier (minimum +1). You can deal this additional damage a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus, and regain your uses of it after a short or a long rest.
In addition, all melee weapons you are proficient with are considered to have the finesse property.
- Minor Starburst
At 3rd level, you can sacrifice your defense to unleash a barrage of strikes against enemies surrounding you. As an action, you can make one melee weapon attack against each creature within 5 feet. After this action, all melee attacks made against you have advantage until the start of your next turn.
- AC Burst
At 7th level, you can sacrifice damage for precision, delivering consistent and accurate blows that pierce trough your enemy defense. When you make an attack, you can choose to have a +5 to the Attack roll. If you do so, you reduce the damage in -5 on a hit (to a minimum of 1 damage).
You can't use this feature if you have a penalty or disadvantage on your attack.
- Improved Two-Weapon Fighting
When you reach the 10th level, you gain the two-weapon fighting style. If you already have this fighting style, you gain the following benefits:
- You can engage in two-weapon fighting with any melee weapon that lacks the heavy or two-handed property, whether or not it has the light property.
- You can benefit from the higher damage die from weapons with the versatile property while wielding these weapons in one hand.
- You can draw or stow a pair of one handed weapons, when you would normally be able to draw or stow a single one.
- Dexterous Fighting
At 15th level, once per turn, when you use your AC burst feature on an attack, you can choose to not gain the bonus to the roll to, instead, make an additional attack. Both attacks have a -5 on the damage roll.
In addition, whenever you score a critical hit with a melee weapon you are proficient with, you can make an additional attack against the same target, or another within 5 feet, without using an action.
- Starburst Stream
At 18th level, you can unleash an overwhelming barrage of strikes against your enemies. You can take one additional turn, right after you have taken your turn. This additional turn can only be used to take the Attack action.
Once you use this feature, make a Constitution saving throw against a DC of 10. On a failure, you suffer 1 level of exhaustion. On a success, you don't suffer exhaustion, but the DC increases by 5, plus 5 for each subsequent success. The DC resets to 10 after a long rest.
