Stable Stance[edit]

This 1st-level feature replaces the Martial Arts, Unarmored Defense, Unarmored Movement and Ki features. You gain no benefit from the replaced features and don't qualify for anything in the game that requires it.

You have learned to be stable as a mountain and strong as a giant on your martial arts path.

Unarmored Defense (1st level)

While not wearing armor or wielding a shield, your AC equals 10 + your Strength modifier + your Constitution modifier.

Heavy Blows (1st level)

Your unarmed strikes cause 1d12 damage on a hit, instead of the normal damage for unarmed strikes. In addition, you gain proficiency with two-handed and heavy melee martial weapons.

Finally, when you make an unarmed strike, you can choose to not add your proficiency bonus to the attack roll, but deal additional damage with it equal to twice your proficiency bonus.

Superior Endurance (2nd level)

While not wearing armor or shield, you gain a +1 bonus to your AC. This increases to +2 at 9th level and +3 at 15th level. This bonus is not cumulative to any bonuses to AC granted by magic items.

At 9th level, you also add this bonus to any checks you make to avoid being moved against your will or knocked prone, and against being poisoned or stunned.

Ki (2nd level)

Works as normal, but your Ki save DC equals 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier. In addition, you don't gain Flurry of Blows, Step of the Wind or Patient Defense, replacing them with the following ki features:

Crushing Grasp. You can spend 1 ki point to shove or grapple as a bonus action. When you do so, you ignore size advantages or restrictions until the start of your next turn.

Stone Resilience. You can spend 1 ki point as a bonus action to gain resistance to bludgeoning, piercing and slashing damage until the start of your next turn.

Rooting Stomp. You can use a bonus action to reduce the movement speed of a creature within 5 feet of you to 0 until the start of your next turn or until you are no longer within 5 feet of it.
