Spyder-fiends are a group of horrible and grotesque creatures created for destruction and chaos. They are the unholy union of the worst traits of a wolf combined with that of a spider. While they are well equipped for frontal assaults, spyder-fiends prefer ambush tactics, and will often use their webs to this advantage. The web of a spyder-fiend is more like rope than it is sticky. It is sturdy enough to support the fiend so it can hang above opportunistic openings before dropping on prey. It can also be used to entangle prey even though it is not sticky. Despite having the intelligence of beasts, spyder-fiends are still remarkably cruel and cunning, preferring to watch prey squirm and die to their poison, wrapped helplessly in their webs. |
