Turn immunity. The spirit warrior is immune to any effect that turns undead.

Magic Weapons. The spirit warrior attacks are considered magical.

Controlling the Spirit Warrior. If the spirit warrior has to make a saving throw, it uses the pilot's saving throw modifier in place of its own if it's higher. If the spirit warrior is reduced to 0 hit points, the pilot must succeed on a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or be reduced to 0 hit points too.

Weaponry. The spirit warrior can use special options presented below, depending on the equipment it wields:

  • Shield - the spirit warrior grants three-quarters cover instead of a half cover for any friendly creature.
  • Longbow - the spirit warrior creates 10 giant arrows during a long rest, and can carry up to 20 pieces of ammunition on itself.

ACTIONS

Multiattack. The spirit warrior can make three weapon attacks from the options presented below.

Mandibles. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (4d4 + 6) Piercing damage and if the target is Medium size or smaller, it is grappled (escape DC 16), and spirit warrior cannot use this attack again if it is grappling a creature.

Greatsword. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 22 (4d8 + 6) slashing damage.

Longbow. Ranged Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 120/300 ft., one target. Hit: 21 (4d8 + 6) slashing damage.

Claw. Melee Weapon Attack: +11 to hit, reach 10 ft., one target. Hit: 16 (4d4 + 6) slashing damage.

Bonus actions

Gnaw. The spirit warrior gnaws on the creature it is grappling, dealing 10 (3d6) piercing damage.

Raise Shield (requires shield). The spirit warrior grants itself benefit of half cover until the beginning of the next turn or until it moves or is moved.

Open Exoskeleton (1/long rest). The spirit warrior detaches most of its armored plating on its body, gaining increase in walking and flying speed to 60 feet, gaining advantage on all dexterity saviing throws and reducing its AC to 15. After fininshing the long rest the plating magically reappears.

Spirit Warrior

The spirit warrior is an enormous humanoid undead insect, the primary long-range weapon of elven crack troops during the Unhuman Wars. All Spirit Warriors went into time storage after the end of the Unhuman Wars, and they occasionally emerge in modern times. A fighter operates the spirit warrior from a cavity inside the chest. As the spirit warrior is a creature in it's own rigth, it's not that simple to operate, as it needs to allow to be used by other creatures. Without a pilot, also called a spirit warrior, as the two become essentially one, the spirit warrior cannot move or act, only communicate with its telepathy and weakly move its head around. In battle, spirit warriors use their strength and overwhelming speed to outmanuver the enemy, provide cover and support for the smaller creatures and to use their insectoid parts, like wings and mandibles. They also wield various melee weapons scaled to their size. Link to the item's properties:Spirit Warrior
