Spikeback Shifter (5e Subrace)

Shifter Subrace[edit]
Spikeback shifters are defensive and sturdy, typically tied to hedgehogs, porcupines, or other spiky animals. You may have a back coated in normally small hair-like spikes that grow to full spikes when you shift.
Ability Score Increase. Your Constitution score increases by 2, and your Wisdom score increases by 1.
Sharp. You have proficiency with the Athletics skill. If you are already proficient with this skill, you gain proficiency with another skill of your choice.
Shifting Feature. While shifted, whenever a creature makes a melee attack against you, they take piercing damage equal to your proficiency bonus.
