Created by the mad goblin scientist Griks Zalow of Premius, the spider pigs are former results before the spiger. They are currently raised as livestock in the outskirt industrial farms of Premius, in the Lowlach region. They have similar demeanors and dispositions to domesticated pigs, preferring to laze about in slop made with their webbing, and they show surprising intelligence. Like a spider, they give birth to eggs in sacs, and carry the young on their backs when they hatch. In addition to providing meat, the spider pig serves as a safer alternative to harvesting spider silk than breeding actual spiders. Every year, there is an annual spider pig contest in the Lowlach region, where the biggest swine takes home a ribbon. |
