More information...

A small high-pitched shrieking sound can be heard as a snake-like creature emerges from a nearby wall. Like a blood red length of ribbon with a small head of a human attached, the soul ribbon floats through the air screaming in an angry hatred.

Soul ribbons are sometimes created when a creature is killed in the Twisted Planes. There is a ten percent chance that when a creature dies in the Twisted Planes it spawns a soul ribbon from its mouth. These soul ribbons then travel the Twisted Planes without a purpose, attacking any creature that is not an outsider or undead. (Only animals, beasts, giants, humanoids, magical beasts, monstrous humanoids and vermin can spawn soul ribbons)

If a creature spawns a soul ribbon its level/hit dice determine the HD of the soul ribbon, however soul ribbons always have a minimum of ten HD (even if the creature is 1st level it would still spawn a 10d12 Hit dice Spawn) For example if a 21st level character spawns a Soul Ribbon it would have 21d12 HD.

Combat[edit]

Soul ribbons, like all creatures from the Twisted Planes are reinforced by emotions. The emotions people create gives them unique powers.

Charisma Drain (Su): An individual struck by a soul ribbon must make a Fortitude save (DC16) or permanently lose 1d4 points of Charisma (or 2d4 points on a critical hit) The soul ribbon heals 5 points of damage (10 on a critical hit) whenever it drains a Charisma, gaining any access as temporary hit points. (The DC is 10 + half the soul ribbons HD + its charisma modifier.)

Incorporeal Subtype: A soul ribbon can be harmed only by other incorporeal creatures, +1 or better weapons, spells, spell like abilities and super natural abilities. The creature has a 50% chance to ignore any damage from a corporeal source, except for force effects or attacks made with ghost touch weapons. A soul ribbon can pass through solid objects, but not force effects, at will. Its attacks ignore natural armour; armour and shields, but deflection bonuses and force effects work normally against them. A soul ribbon cannot be heard with listen checks if it doesn’t wish to be and it always moves silently.

Weave of Anger (Ex): If a soul ribbon is around angry emotions it moves in straight lines using sharp angles to turn. This increases its attack power from 1d6 to 1d8.

Weave of Confusion (Ex): If a soul ribbon is round confused creatures it moves more elegantly, gaining a fast healing of 1 and a +10 to tumble checks.

Weave of Joy (Ex): If a soul ribbon is round emotions of happiness or excitement it gains an Immunity to electricity.

Weave of Sadness (Ex): If a soul ribbon is around sad or depressing emotions it moves slower (30ft) but gains a +4 deflection bonus to its AC.
