Soul of the Undying [General]

When facing death, you may sacrifice a bound soul to restore your life, consuming the soul to save yourself from the final blow.
Prerequisite: Ability to bind or hold the souls of followers or other beings; 3rd level in a Vessel Magic-related class or Devout Leader
Benefit: When you would normally die, you may destroy a soul you possess to return to life with one-third of your maximum hit points. For 1 round after revival, you gain resistance to all damage types. This feat permanently consumes the soul used, which cannot be resurrected or otherwise restored. You may use this ability once per 24 hours, as long as you have a soul available to sacrifice.
Normal: Characters who die without this feat must face the consequences of death without the ability to revive by sacrificing bound souls.
Special: Sacrificing a follower’s soul or another’s bound soul requires that the soul was willingly given or otherwise acquired through Vessel or class-specific means. Using this feat permanently destroys the soul sacrificed.
