Soul Erosion tiers[edit]

Tier 1 Soul Erosion[edit]

You feel a faint tug on your essence, as though a shadow of your soul is slipping away—subtle but unsettling. (10-15%)

Weakened Vitality (Minor): Lose 5% of max HP, recoverable after 4 hours of rest.

Tier 2 Soul Erosion[edit]

A lingering fatigue sets in, accompanied by a sense of emptiness, as though your spirit has started to fray. (15-30%)

Weakened Vitality (Moderate): Lose 10% of max HP, recoverable after 8 hours of rest.

Sluggish Reflexes: Suffer a -2 penalty to your initiative rolls.

Tier 3 Soul Erosion[edit]

A gnawing void takes hold, your mind clouded and emotions dulled, as if pieces of your humanity are being stripped away. (30-45%)

Weakened Vitality (Severe): Lose 15% of max HP, recoverable after 12 hours of rest.

Blighted Spirit: Suffer a -2 penalty to your saving throws.

Tier 4 Soul Erosion[edit]

Your soul feels brittle, like a crumbling foundation; the weight of existence becomes a heavy burden. (45-60%)

Weakened Vitality (Dire): Lose 20% of max HP, recoverable after 24 hours of rest.

Soul Fragility: Gain disadvantage on Intelligence, Wisdom, and Charisma saving throws.

Tier 5 Soul Erosion[edit]

The loss becomes agonizing, your body weakens, and every decision feels veiled in despair and confusion. (60-75%)

Weakened Vitality (Critical): Lose 25% of max HP, recoverable after 48 hours of rest.

Phantom Weakness: Suffer a -2 penalty to attack rolls, saving throws, and AC.

Tier 6 Soul Erosion[edit]

Reality distorts, as though you are no longer fully tethered to existence; you feel the abyss clawing at what remains of your soul. (75-99%)

Weakened Vitality (Final): Lose 30% of max HP, recoverable after 72 hours of rest.

The Fading: If your hit points drop to 10% or less of your maximum, at the start of each turn, make a DC 18 Constitution saving throw or fall unconscious. Additionally, when making death saving throws, you automatically fail one out of the three required rolls. If healed while under this effect, the healing must restore more than 10% of your maximum hit points to take effect; otherwise, the healing has no effect. There is another effect which the giver of the contract is the only one that knows of what this effect is.
