Solidify Ectoplasm (3.5e Power)

Your mind reaches into the astral plane, carving away its essence and siphoning it into the material plane through a point in space you choose. A dull, angry reverberation is heard as a roiling mass of ectoplasm takes form, solidifying into a shape you determine. When created it occupies an area of up to 5 cubic feet of space per manifester level and can take on a wide variety of simple forms. The mass of ectoplasm be shaped into a castle wall, a pillar, a gate, and various other forms, but must remain continuous. The shape the ectoplasm takes cannot be changed once the power is manifested unless with the use of a separate power or psi-like ability, such as psionic fabricate. You must make an appropriate Knowledge or Craft check to shape the ectoplasm into more complex and detailed forms. When manifesting the power, the manifester can imbue the ectoplasm with colorations of their choosing and can determine which sections of the mass are opaque (if any).
The mass of ectoplasm has 8 hit points per level, 1 point of hardness per level, and power resistance 20 plus 1 per level. Manifesters ignore the resistance of ectoplasm they create. Should the ectoplasm's hit points drop to 0, it dissipates completely, returning to the astral plane. Solidified ectoplasm is not susceptible to dispel psionics, but can be affected by dismiss ectoplasm. The ectoplasm blocks ethereal creatures, but does not block psychoportive travel, such as that provided by the psionic teleport power. Manifesters other than the creator attempting to dismiss the mass of ectoplasm take a penalty on the manifester level check equal to 1/2 the power's manifester level.
Augment: You can augment this power in one or more of the following ways.
1. For every 4 additional power points you spend, the mass of ectoplasm gains 1 additional point of hardness.
2. For every 2 additional power points you spend, the mass of ectoplasm regains 1 hit point of damage per round.
