Slimecican[edit]

Physical Description[edit]

Slimecican are amorphous beings with translucent green flesh, and cannot give themselves a humanoid form, and hold their shape in a small blob.

History[edit]

Society[edit]

Slimecican Names[edit]

Slimecican use words from their language, Ooze, to name themselves. Names are also often shortened for ease of speaking. There are no male or female names, as Slimecican do not have gender.

Names: Prbakul/Purba, Brelindr/Lindur, Berlicn/Licin, Silmun/Limun

Slimecican Traits[edit]

Little green blobs of joy, or destruction.
Ability Score Increase. Your Dexterity score increases by 2, and one other ability score of your choice increases by 1.
Age. Your body does not change over time other than growing, but does reach mental maturity about a year after undergoing mitosis. They do not die of natural causes, but have to undergo mitosis at around 500 years of age, and only important memories are kept.
Alignment. Your alignment is like your bodies, able to form into any shape.
Size. Slimecican are size medium, but could be defined as small before one year of age.
Speed. Your base walking speed is 25 feet. You cannot swim.
Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Amorphous. You can squeeze through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide, provided you are wearing and carrying nothing. You also have advantage on ability checks you make to initiate or escape a grapple.
Dilution. Your body is made of water, but even so, too much water can be a bad thing. For every 6 seconds in water at least 1 foot deep, you take 1d4 points of necrotic damage that cannot be negated.
Acidic Body. You have resistance to acid damage, and you have advantage on saving throws against being poisoned.
Divide. At any time, you may divide into two halves.
Each half has half your base skills, rounded down. Both halves also only have 50% of your movement speed, hit points, and weight (also rounded down), and are small.
The new half will appear in an open space adjacent to you, of your choice.
The duplicate will act as if they have evasion until the start of your next turn.
Stat decreases happen at the start of your next turn. (so you can use your base dexterity modifier to evade that AOE attack)
You may take an action to join both halves together, reapplying your base skills and traits.
If one half is killed, you may still take the body back, but will not regain skills until regrown. If the body is destroyed, then you are stuck as small until you can regrow it.
After a long rest, you may take a Constitution save to regrow your body. On a 15 or higher, you regrow whatever you had lost from splitting.
After splitting, you may not split again until you have rejoined your two living halves or have regrown a lost half.
The two halves share actions and share a consciousness. (e.g. one can move and the other can attack)
After dividing, you cannot rejoin until the start of your next turn.
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and Ooze, a dialect of primordial that all oozes speak.
