Slasher, Variant (5e Subclass)

Slasher[edit]
Barbarian Subclass
Your accursed deeds - or your ancestors - have unlocked a terrible power that provides your innate Rage. Perhaps you were exposed to a great source of negative energy, or sought knowledge that was not meant to be known by mortals. Some “Slashers” had their curse visited upon them by others, but use their power to return a twisted vengeance on those who’ve wronged them. Still others fight against their dark desires, and seek to use their powers for good... even if their methods call much into question. slashers are driven to symbolism and iconography. They favor specific weapons and clothing with particular patterns. Some wear masks, or dress as odd mockeries of a specific trade or profession. Other slashers hum a repetitive tune, or twist their words into bizarre rhymes. These strange trappings serve to haunt the targets of their wrath, and become the seeds of local legends, or scary tales told to frighten children.
- Stalker
At 3rd level, you gain proficiency in Stealth. If you already have proficiency, you add twice your proficiency bonus in checks with this skill.
- Unstoppable Tank
Starting at 3rd level, when you are raging, you become an unstoppable murderous machine. You gain resistance to all damage types, except fire, force, psychic and radiant. In addition, you become immune to the paralyzed and stunned conditions, and can't have your movement reduced by difficult terrain.
- Gore
Starting at 6th level, you can eviscerate your targets with extreme cruelty. When you use your Reckless Attack while raging and hit your target with a melee weapon attack, you can use your reaction to eviscerate the target, causing additional 1d12 slashing damage. This damage is considered magical, for the purposes of overcoming resistances and immunity to non-magical damage.
This additional damage increases to 2d12 at 14th level.
- Designated Victim
Starting at 10th level you can choose a humanoid creature with a CR equal or lower than your level as your designated victim when you enter in rage, or as a bonus action while raging. The creature must be within 30 feet, and succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier) or it is frightened of you for 1 minute.
While frightened, the target also suffer the effects of a slow spell. The target can use an action in each turn to make another saving throw, in order to end the effect.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or a long rest.
- Blink
Starting at 14th level, when you enter in rage, you can choose to gain the benefits of the spell Far Step for the duration, without requiring concentration.
Once you use this feature, you can't use it again until you finish a short or a long rest.
