Physical Description[edit]

From Pathfinder: Seven Days to the Grave

Skeksis are avian humanoids whose bodies slowly decay away. Skeksis are fairly tall creatures with giant black crow wings and beige colored skin that is forever decomposing under their armor/robes. Their heads look like either a beaked or reptilian skull, and their arms are usually long and lanky.

History[edit]

The skeksis have been known to scour deserts as far back as history can remember. It is told through stories that an evil god once attempted to create life out of a humanoid corpse and a crow, and although successful, was disappointed in the result so the god cast out their creation into the world. Since then, skeksis have wandered the Material Plane, with bodies that slowly decay to nothing on them.

Society[edit]

Skeksis usually live in roaming groups of pillagers or bandits in plains and deserts. Most skeksis that are found to be too kind hearted within the roaming group of skeksis are abandoned as far away from the civilization as possible where they must attempt to flee the group or be hunted by the other skeksis for enjoyment. Due to the accelerated decomposition of their bodies, many skeksis constantly search for ways to prolong their lives through healing and other darker magic's like necromancy.

Although few know what a skeksis is, when confronted with one, most regard skeksis with disgust due to their horrid appearance and the ever consent scent of death that lingers around them. The very few skeksis who do live in cities tend to almost exclusively live on the fringes of society, scrounging whatever they can to stay afloat.
