Sinkro (5e Race)
From D&D Wiki
Sinkro[edit]
Physical Description[edit]
Sinkro are winged humanoids with pale blue or green skin and hair as white as snow. They are sexually dimorphic in form. Males are roughly 4-5 feet tall while female are a whopping 6-7 feet tall. Their wings are clad in white feathers. They can live from 200 to 300 years. Though they have a mix of elven features on their human faces, they actually have no fey ancestry. Their eyes are a crystalline blue, clear as sapphires.
History[edit]
Sinkro, also known as mortal angels, are a people who live on mountain tops and are very charitable and selfless beings. They are believed to have been created either by celestials or were former humans blessed by some deity of the elemental Plane of Air, similar to the raptorans. Whatever their true origin, they believe they have been given a purpose to better the world via charity and such and are very eager to help any in need. They are often saving travelers lost in the mountains near their peaks or traveling to impoverished towns and reviving the economies.
The feather of a sinkro is thought to be a good luck charm. It is something sinkro have been known to grant ailing towns in need of a quick economic fix. However, this has led to trouble often as people go off searching for these kind creatures to hunt them for their lucrative feathers. Sinkro now are much more wary of giving out their plumage and instead help with the local infrastructures, though people do often beg for a plume or two.
Society[edit]
Sinkro live in communities made of two or three towers, called shilru on nearby mountaintops. Shilru are host to groups of the same clan. Each clan builds more shilru to supplant their influences in new sinkro settlements. The height of a shilru signifies the size and importance of a clan, with the tallest having the most members, and thus more influence in a community. To sinkro, the clan and community take precedent over individual family. Every clan typically upholds a singly maxim in the long list of sinkro morals and center the upbringing of their young around it.
