Elf Subrace[edit]

Shyling Elves are very unique in their appearance. They have a striking resemblance to halflings because of their size, however, they maintain a good majority of the elven traits. Their ears are larger and go to a point, their eyes are wide, and their facial features are soft, yet clearly defined.

Most of the history of this race is unknown and undocumented. Shyling Elves live in the wilds like their distant relatives the Wood Elves but live in villages built into nature. They have a hierarchy similar to a caste system, however formal education is not part of this. This lack of information makes Shyling Elves very curious and blunt by nature.

They are torn from two worlds so lack a racial identity of their own. They take the naming traditions of Elves and Halfings alike and can live up to a millennium. Most Shyling Elves tend to be either neutral good or chaotic neutral, typically depending on whether they choose to leave their home or stay.
