the Shotel is a slashing weapon with a curved blade similar to that of a sickle, but about the length of a Scimitar. It's curve is designed to reach around shields and stab opponents. instead of your regular slashing attack you can attempt to bypass the Opponent's Shield AC bonus. The opponent's shield bonus does not apply to your next attack, but your attack deals only 1d4+ strength modifier of damage. if reducing the target's Shield bonus to AC would increase their max dex bonus, then the new max dex bonus will apply to the AC for the purposes of this attack. This attack does not disarm the shield or decrease it's use in any way after the attack has been made. A Shotel can not be used in this way during or as part of a full attack.
