Electrified Scales. A creature that touches the perch or hits it with a melee attack while within 5 feet of it takes 1 lightning damage.

Water Breathing. The perch can only breathe underwater.

ACTIONS

Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 1 piercing damage.

Electrical Discharge (Recharge 6). The perch releases a burst of electricity in a 5-foot radius around itself. Each creature in that area must make a DC 11 Dexterity saving throw, taking 5 (2d4) lightning damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.


The shockscale perch is a small fish that measures up to 1 foot in length. Its body is covered in iridescent scales that can generate a mild electric charge, which it uses to stun prey and defend itself from predators. The shockscale perch has a slim, agile body that allows it to swim swiftly and make quick turns.
