Shining Blade[edit]
Fighting Archetype
A shining blade is a warrior who has learned to use the power of their spiritual energy to help them in combat. The nature of their abilities causes them to tend away from evil. While their abilities are much easier to master than true spellcasting, they are still potent when used properly. A shining blade functions as a front line combatant and has some healing abilities to help others.
- Shining Strike
Starting at 3rd level, you are able to channel your spiritual energy into a single strike to devastating effect. Once, whenever you take the Attack action and make a melee weapon attack, you can make the attack at Disadvantage. On a hit, you deal 1d12 additional radiant damage.
At 11th level, you can use this ability up to 2 times whenever you take the attack action, and the additional damage dice increases to 2d12.
- Lay on Hands
Starting at 3rd level, your blessed touch can heal wounds. You have a pool of healing power that replenishes when you finish a long rest. With that pool, you can restore a total number of hit points equal to half your fighter level x 5, rounded up.
As an action, you can touch a creature and draw power from the pool to restore a number of hit points to that creature, up to the maximum amount remaining in your pool.
Alternatively, you can expend 5 hit points from your pool of healing to cure the target of one disease or neutralize one poison affecting it. You can cure multiple diseases and neutralize multiple poisons with a single use of Lay on Hands, expending hit points separately for each one.
This feature has no effect on undead and constructs.
- Healing Restoration
At 7th level, you can use your second wind feature to restore your Lay on Hands pool. You replenish a number of points to your pool equal to 10 + your fighter level, up to its maximum.
- Shining Fracture
Starting at 10th level, when you hit an enemy with a shining strike, you can cause a brief, glowing, fissure that serves as an exposed weak spot. The next attack made against that creature until the start of your next turn is made with advantage.
- Agonizing Radiance
At 15th level, when you score a critical hit with your Shining Strike, the radiant damage caused is tripled.
- Shining Devastation
When you reach 18th level, when you use your Action Surge, you can use your Shining Strike with all attacks made on that turn, and without disadvantage.
