Shemeife (5e Subrace)

From D&D Wiki

The shemeife are a strange group of elves devoted to spiritualism and living in the sands. They were allegedly driven out from their original habitat of forests and thus became nomads of the desert. Within their tribe, they practice niche worship of a strange way of life called Shemei. This is a largely ascetic way of life, devoted to tanning in the sun to absorb the natural energies of the desert. As such, the shemeife are tan skinned. As part of their traditions, they also clip their ears once they reach an elderly age and also dress in loose, flowing fabrics. Their practices are believed to tone their bodies and temper their wills into pure strength.
