To use this variant class feature, you must be a ranger in an aquatic environment with the Beast Mastery class feature. You can choose a shark as your beast companion.

Shark Companion[edit]

This category includes actual sharks, such as the great white and hammerhead, as well as other large carnivorous fish like barracudas and giant piranhas. Sharks are tougher than most beast companions and have a powerful bite.

Medium Natural Beast
HP 14 + 8 per level; Bloodied 7 + 4 per level
AC 12 + level; Fortitude 14 + level, Reflex 10 + level, Will 12 + level
Speed swim 6 squares
Melee Basic Attack
Effect: Bite; level + 2 vs. AC; 1d10 + Strength modifier.
Blood Sense
Effect: A shark gains a +2 bonus on Perception checks against bloodied creatures.
