Freeze (Shapeless Form Only). If the shapeless takes cold damage, it partially freezes; its speed is reduced by 20 feet until the end of its next turn.

Shapechanger. The shapeless can use its action to polymorph into a Small or Medium humanoid it has seen, or back into its true form. Its statistics, other than its size, are the same in each form. Any equipment it is wearing or carrying isn't transformed. It reverts to its true form if it dies.

Underwater Camouflage (Shapeless Form Only). The shapeless has advantage on Dexterity (Stealth) checks made while underwater.

Water Form (Shapeless Form Only). The shapeless can enter a hostile creature's space and stop there. It can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing.

ACTIONS

Multiattack. The shapeless makes two attacks.

Claw (Shapeless Form Only). Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 9 (1d10 + 4) slashing damage and the target is grappled (escape DC 14). The shapeless has two claws, each of which can grapple only one target.

REACTIONS

Fade (3/Day). When the shapeless takes damage from a weapon attack, it makes a Dexterity saving throw with a DC of 15 or 10 + the damage taken, whichever is higher. On a successful save, it takes no damage. On a failed save, it takes half as much damage.

Among the shapeless, the giants are the rarest kind and also the leaders. Should a group of shapeless contain more than one giant, the largest one is the boss, while the smaller ones rank themselves based on how much smaller they are.
