The shantak is a huge, red scaly dragon-like being. Like the wyvern from the material plane, it has two legs and wings, but no arms. It lives in mountains and deserts. The denizens of Leng tame and use the shantaks as mounts. For some reason, shantaks fear the nightgaunts.
