Amorphous. The shadow can move through a space as narrow as 1 inch wide without squeezing.

Innate Spellcasting. The shadow's spellcasting ability is Charisma (spell save DC 13, +5 to hit with spell attacks). It can innately cast the following spells, requiring no material components:

At will: chill touch, shocking grasp
1/day each: hold person, ray of sickness

Sunlight Weakness. While in sunlight, the shadow has disadvantage on attack rolls, ability checks, and saving throws.

ACTIONS

Strength Drain. Melee Weapon Attack: +4 to hit, reach 5 ft., one creature. Hit: 9 (2d6 + 2) necrotic damage, and the target's Strength score is reduced by 1d4. The target dies if this reduces its Strength to 0. Otherwise, the reduction lasts until the target finishes a short or long rest.
If a non-evil humanoid dies from this attack, a new shadow rises from the corpse 1d4 hours later.

BONUS ACTIONS

Shadow Stealth. While in dim light or darkness, the shadow takes the Hide action.

Monster Manual Shadow

Like normal shadows, shadow witches live from the shadows and drain the vitality of those untainted by evil. As a shadow witch drains the vitality from a humanoid its own shadow begins to move of its own accord and when it dies the shadow rises from the grave and becomes a new shadow itself. When a spellcaster dies to a shadow, occasionally, it becomes a shadow witch instead of an ordinary shadow.

Undead Nature. A shadow witch doesn't require air, food, drink, or sleep.
