Scorch Fox (5e Creature)
From D&D Wiki
Large monstrosity, neutral good
Heated Body. A creature that touches the fox or hits it with a melee attack while within 5 feet of it takes 5 (1d10) fire damage. The fox can disable or enable the flame at will, but it cannot use its Fire Breath if its flame is disabled.
Bite. Melee Weapon Attack: +7 to hit, reach 5 ft., one target. Hit: 11 (2d6 + 4) piercing damage, plus 5 (1d10) fire damage.
Fire Breath (Recharge 5-6). The fox exhales fire in a 30-foot cone. Each creature in that area must make a DC 13 Dexterity saving throw, taking 28 (8d6) fire damage on a failed save, or half as much damage on a successful one.
Scorch foxes are large foxes with the ability to breathe fire, and whose fiery red coats is untouched by it. Their insides burn with fire, though they can disable the intense heat if they so choose. They usually live in hilly areas or mountains, but they are happy to help travellers, as many who traverse their territories can attest to.
