School of Living Spells[edit]

Wizard Subclass

Many wizards learn to summon a familiar as one of their first proper magical acts and foster a strong bond, sometimes one-sided with their contracted celestial, fey or fiend. Wizards following the School of Living Spells focus on this kind of bond, imbuing their spells with elementals, their own soul or even the life of the fallen. One might have a rat engulfed in fire that seems not to harm it, another an owl charged with pure concussive force while their colleague commands a spider made out of pure death an sickness. These familiars are brought forth in the modification of spells already known by the wizard, breathing life into their Ice Knives, Fireballs or even Blights.
