Savage Attacker (5e Subclass)
From D&D Wiki
Savage Attacker[edit]
Fighter Archetype
Savage attackers are fighters who specialize in putting everything they have in terms of strength in a single but powerful blow. They believe that wrecking their opponents with mighty blows is more important than foolishly swinging the sword in hopes of hitting their enemies. A savage attacker rely on close combat and brutal weapons to get the job done and destroy their opponents.
- Brutal Strength
At 3rd level, you have an untamed Strength. Whenever you roll 9 or lower on a Strength check, you can choose a 10 instead.
- Savage Attacks
At 3rd level, your attacks are brutal, and your cuts deep. Whenever you roll damage for a melee weapon attack, you can reroll the weapon's damage dice and use either total.
- Wrecking Blow
At 7th level, you can focus all your Strength in a single and mighty blow. As an action, you can make a single melee weapon attack. On a hit, you multiply the damage dealt by the number of attacks you can make as part of the attack action.
In addition, when you use Wrecking Blow on a inanimate object or structure, you cause maximum damage, instead of rolling for it.
- Savage Cleaving
At 10th level, whenever you make an attack with a melee weapon, you can choose to deal damage to each creature within 5 feet of your target that is within reach. The damage equals the number rolled on your Savage Strike reroll, and the type is the same of your weapon type.
- Brute Force
At 15th level, once per turn when you have advantage on an Attack roll, you can forgo that advantage to cause additional damage equal to half your Fighter level on a hit.
In addition, whenever you deal less damage with a melee attack than your proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier, you can choose that number instead.
- Surge of Strength
At 18th level, you can draw from your inner reserves of Strength for a even more powerful blow. Whenever you hit a creature with a melee attack, you can spend one use of your action surge to quadruple the damage dealt.
