Saving Throw: | Reflex half |
Spell Resistance: | No |
A quick chopping motion with your hand and your attuned sand moves faster than can be seen, converting the in the technique's area to sand and raising it 5 feet high instantly. Those caught in it are cut by the extremely sharp edge of the sand and take 1d4 damage / technician level and, if 5 feet tall or less, have a 10% chance to be chopped in half instantly killing them. Those that succeed a Reflex save take half damage and have no chance to instantly die. The sand settles afterwards and the attuned sand used in the technique takes 5 rounds to return to you.
You may expend an additional 5 technique points to increase either the height or length of this technique by 5 feet. Extending the height causes the 'axe' to fire out of the ground increasing how tall something must be to avoid instant death and how high in the air one must be to avoid the effect.
This technique has no limit to the number of additional technique points that may be used in it BUT if you spend more than twice your technician level the casting time increases to 1 round.
Material Component: 8 cubic feet of Attuned Sand
