Sailboat (3.5e Equipment)

Sailboat[edit]
This 10- to 40- foot-long boat is about 5- to 20-feet wide and catches wind in its triangular sails to move forwards. It can carry anywhere from 4 to 20 medium-sized passengers and/or crew and it requires anywhere from 4 to 10 people to crew it, depending on its size. They can carry anywhere from 500 lbs. to several tons of cargo, again depending on its size. They can travel at speeds ranging from 1 to 8 miles per hour, depending on wind and the design of the boat's hull. If necessary they can also be paddled. It should be noted that sailboats come in many different varieties and shapes.
