In the paladin's pocket sits a small pink pocket cat with a funny tail, and the emblem of the paladin's holy symbol embedded on the kitten's head. It seems to give off light.
Safecat homunculi are creatures created by the spell Ell's handy homunculus. They are guardians against undead and one of the few handy homunculi actually meant to see battle, if briefly. They are very calm and collected, quietly watching in vigil and generally staying out of sight and out of mind. When undead appear it rises from its spot, shoots off a blast, then hides again knowing more undead have no means of healing.
While generally constructs are neutral, a homunculi picks up the alignment of its creator on casting.
Combat[edit]
Safecat homunculi make poor weapons. Against undead the safecat quickly becomes a sniper, picking away at undead enemies by appearing and disappearing under cover to recharge their smite ray.
- Smite Ray (Su)
Every 1d4 rounds, a safecat homunculus may employ disrupt undead as the spell. Its caster level is equal to its hit dice.
Construction[edit]
The body is made of a silver holy symbol and clay, with the core crystal often embedded in the forehead. A drop of the caster's blood is mixed in with the clay and marble fragments, which all fuses together into a perfect blend on casting Ell's handy homunculus. The entire cost of supplies equals 500 gp (including the cost for the holy symbol).
Assembling the body requires a DC 15 Craft (pottery) or Craft (metalwork) check.
CL 1st; Ell's handy homunculus, disrupt undead; Never sold; Cost 500 gp + 25 XP.
