SRD Talk:Hammer of Thunderbolts

Question[edit]
Author does not specify what "stacking" means. Does it means stacking of only damage from the gauntlets and girdle or does it include "to hit"?
- This is SRD, meaning it was written by WotC. However, I can still answer your question. Traditionally, when you have items or spells that grant a bonus of the same type, you can only use the higher of the two. In this case, the gauntlets provide a +2 to Strength, and the Girdle provides a +4. Normally you just use the +4 to Strength from the girdle, which confers a +2 on Attack and Damage rolls with a melee weapon, because it increases your Strength score. Because this item is special, however, you can include the strength bonuses of the gauntlets(+2) and the girdle(+4), giving you a +6 strength, and an overall +3 bonus to attack and damage rolls made with this melee weapon, which is tacked onto the +5 bonus conferred by the weapon itself. --Badger 18:59, 25 November 2010 (MST)
