Runic Elf (5e Race)

A Runic Elf looks like a Normal Elf, the only visible difference are Blue glowing Runes carved into their Flesh on their Back.
In a Time of war the all so prideful Elves wanted to create a kind of Super elf, sadly that Task proved much more difficult to achieve than thought even with Experiments on their kind, they couldn't achieve any breakthroughs. So they thought of another way to create such a being without Experimenting on their Fellow Elves. The Idea was that they would use their Knowledge of Runes to create an Artificial Creature, which doesn't need Sleep, doesn't need Food but instead lives from the Magic in their Surroundings, so that they can live to fight, and fight for them without Pause. A Creature of war, that was their Goal after all. And after years of Research they created their first 'Runic Elf', in the beginning Stages everything seemed normal, but after a while their Behavior became Violent, and they went into Rage. The Reason for that was quickly found, the Magical Energy which they can take from their Surrounding isn't enough to sustain themselves, which is why they go Berserk, so they found another way to sustain them, 'Drinking Blood'. In the End they created Creatures with an superb Affinity to Magic, but weak Bodies. They wanted to create Elves who can fight better than anyone, and overwhelm with their Numbers but instead created Creatures who are born to do Magic, tough that isn't really bad now as they could just use some to fight Close Quarters while the others use Magic to win the Battle.
As Runic Elves are mostly used as Weapons of war they don't have a clear Society, the only ones they could truly call Friends are the fellow Runic Elves which mostly live in the Barracks, as the other Elves treat them as their Loyal Dogs of War. But some always Realize their Lives and try to change it, thus many already have escaped from the Elves grasp and now roam the Lands.
Runic Elf Names
The Names greatly Depend on their Achievements, as they are otherwise just called by Numbers, and even if they get names, they are mostly just Dog names.

Runic Elf Traits
Ability Score Increase. Your Intelligence will Increase by 2 Wisdom or Charisma will increase by 1, and your Potential in Intelligence goes up to 24, while Dexterity and Strength go down to a Maximum of 14, instead of the normal Potential of 20.
Age. their Age is unknown, tough it is assumed that they are ageless
Alignment. They tend to be Chaotic
Runic Darkvision. You can see in dim light within 120 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can't discern color in darkness, only shades of gray.
Magical Thirst. You require sustenance in the form of Magical Energy which you can get through drinking Blood or being in an Area which has high amounts of it to sustain yourself. You do not need to eat or sleep, but you can ingest food and drink if you wish. If you go for longer then seven days without said requirement, you suffer one level of exhaustion on the midnight of that day, which can only be removed by drinking blood. After consuming blood, you recover all levels of exhaustion. If you reach six levels of exhaustion due to this trait, you die.
Runic Resistance. You may choose one Resistance from (a)Fire, (b)Cold, (c)Force or (d)Lightning and apply it to your Character
Calculated Defence. Through your many hardships with the Lack of Physical Prowess you have learned to use your Magical Abilities and Intelligence to account for it. You can use your Intelligence score in place of your Strength, Dexterity or Constitution score whenever you have to make a roll or DC related to them.
Runic Affinity. You gain one of the Cantrips (a)Control Flames, (b)Shape Water, (c)Gust or (d)Mold earth
Languages. You can speak, read, and write Common and one other language of your choice.
