Runic Blade[edit]

Your studies didn't focus directly on the magic that exists in the world, but through that, focusing on magic focused on objects and places, in the same way that you weren't content with just magic learning to use blades. A runeblade is a mage who combines runecircles of magic and swordplay with his keen intellect.

Introduction to Combat[edit]

You are introduced to combat techniques and how to utilize your keen focus in using them, you become proficient in two martial weapons of your choice whether piercing or steady, you can use weapons as arcane focus and use components even without a free hand.

You become adept at casting Arcane Armor with no components and spell slot.

Essential Runes[edit]

Your study of magic led you to learn to create special runes capable of improving your combat. You learn to create two types of runes, streets of advancement and streets of stagnation.

- Runes of Advancement: You can place a Rune of Advancement over weapons or clothing and armor, guaranteeing benefits according to the type of item:

  • Weapon: You become more accurate or destructive, add your Intelligence bonus to the weapon's hit or damage.
  • Weapon: You become deadlier, critical strike or crit-based effects occur at 19-20.
  • Armor/Clothing: You can see the direction of attacks made against you, add your Intelligence bonus to your AC.
  • Armor/Clothing: Your armor is tougher than ever, reduces damage taken equal to half your intelligence.

You can place one rune per item and the rune lasts for 8 hours or until replaced. You can only place 2 runes of Advancement.

- Rune of Stagnation: You create runes over locations or creatures, the runes have effects of spells you prepared that day and have the following additional capabilities. Duration is extended to 8 hours less, the rune disappears if you are within 100 feet of the rune.

  • Rune spell saving throws have their proficiency bonus doubled.
  • Runes with spells that require a specified amount of dice to function have an added value equal to your character level + proficiency bonus
  • Runes with damage spells explode on contact in an area of 10 feet + double your level.
  • Runes that hit you do no damage or effects.

You place runes of stagnation as an action at 5 feets, the runes have a 5 feet or or less, for the first minute they are placed they have the coloring of the imbued school of magic, after which they become unnoticeable by non-magical means.

You can use your runes a number of times equal to your Intelligence modifier, and regain them use after short or long rest.

Extra attack[edit]

Starting at 6th level, you can attack twice instead of once whenever you use an attack action on your turn.

Rune Rising[edit]

Starting at 10th level, you learn to quickly use your runes and fire them like a spell. You can cast a rune and cast it at a target or location within 30 feet. will either lock onto an object that is in the line of the attack and within 30 feets, or disappear.

In addition, your damage spell runes have a larger activation area equal to 10 feet x your Intelligence modifier.

Rune of principles[edit]

At 14th level, you can create a large white rune that is 15 feet in size. You or your allies can place up to 3 spells inside this rune that activate immediately upon contact. When using this rune, you cannot move or use other actions until your next turn.
