Runemarked[edit]

Runemarked are humanoids with innate magic powers. Most are born to two runemarked (full-bloods), some have one other humanoid parent (half-bloods). Rarely a runemarked is born to two normal humanoid parents. They are known as no-bloods and are usually the most powerful magically. Runemarked are naturally charismatic and intelligent.

Personality[edit]

The runemarked's personality varies as much as humans. They are most often clam, seeming serene, or firey in tempertment.

Physical Description[edit]

Runemarked stand at the same height as humans. They usually have black or silver hair, pale or pure white skin and bright coloured eyes (most often blue or green) but their looks can varie as much as humans. They have a rusty rune either on their forehead, palm, back or the top of their hand. This lights up a certain colour when they use magic.

Relations[edit]

Runemarked get on with most races. Most view elves as similiar to them but to bookish, dwarves at to combat orientated, orcs as barbarians, halflings as nice but without magic, gnomes as naturally magic like them but to fond of jokes, humans as less superior than them and half-elves as a good blend of their parents and closer to them than elves. No-bloods generally share the view of their parents

Alignment[edit]

Runemarked tend towards lawful alignments. They have a lawful society. Full bloods are usually lawful-good. Half-bloods tend towards neitral-good or true neutral, not quite as neutral as their full-blooded counterparts. No-bloods tend towards chaotic-good and chaotic-neutral, no matter what race their parents they are. They are free willed and seen as oddities in runemarked society, but respected for their powerfull magic. Evil runemarked do exist.

Lands[edit]

Runemarked live anywhere they can make a home. Some live in human settlements, but most have their own. The runemarked have ther own island on which only runemarked live unless they have an other humanoid partner.

Religion[edit]

Runemarked worship magic orientated deities, like Boccob, if they worship any deity at all.

Language[edit]

Runemarked speak common and draconic. They usually learn other languages as well.

Names[edit]

Runemarked aquire names like humans. Usually they are quite long names eg. Rosemary, Elizabeth, Willam, Samuel

Racial Traits[edit]

  • +4 Intelligence, +2 charisma, −2 strength, −2 constitution: Runemarked are naturally clever and witty but physically frail
  • human (magic)
  • Medium
  • Runemarked base land speed is 30 feet
  • Racial skill bonuses: +2 spellcraft, +2 knowledge (arcana)
  • Spell-Like Abilities: 3/day — detect magic, read magic, magic missile, arcane mark. Caster level is 2nd. The save DC is intelligence -based.
  • Automatic Languages: Common, draconic. Bonus Languages: Any non secretive (eg. druidic).
  • Favored Class: Sorcerer
