Rumble of Divine Thunder (5e Subclass)
Rumble of Divine Thunder[edit]
Fighter Subclass
Some people are capable of using thunder and lightning of great power. Rumble of Divine Thunder acolytes are warriors who learn how to channel the divine power of the storms. It is rare to want to find yourself face to face with them. Their power is so great, that their strikes are such that one would have the sensation of being struck by lightning.
- Acolyte of Lightning and Thunder
Starting when you choose this subclass at 3rd level, you gain a deep knowledge over both the mundane and divine nature of tempests. You have Advantage on Intelligence (Religion), (Arcana), and (Nature) checks related to storms, lightning and thunder.
In addition, you learn how to speak, read and write in Auran.
- Thunderous Kanabo
Starting at 3rd level, when you finish a long rest, you can forge a bond with a Kanabo (statistics of a Warhammer) or a Brutal Kanabo (statistics of a Maul) you touch, lasting until the start of your next rest. While bonded, your attacks with the Kanabo cause additional 1d4 damage on a hit. The damage can be lightning or thunder (choose one before making the attack).
This additional damage increases to 1d6 at 7th level, 1d8 at 15th level and 1d10 at 18th level.
- Roar Body
Also at 3rd level, your body is empowered by your channeling of the tempest. While not wearing armor, your AC is 10 + your Strength modifier + your Constitution modifier.
In addition, you can replace your Dexterity modifier with your Constitution modifier when wearing light or medium armor.
- Divine Power
At 7th level, your attacks made with the bound kanabo ignore resistances and immunities to non-magical damage. In addition, your bound kanabo gain a bonus of +1 on attacks and damage rolls if it doesn't have a magical bonus already.
This bonus increases to +2 at 15th level and +3 at 18th level. If the weapon has a bonus, this feature replaces it if it is higher.
- Divine Deflection
At 7th level, when you take lightning or thunder damage, you can use a Reaction to deflect that energy, halving the damage taken.
- Roar of Thunder
At 10th level, when you score a critical hit with your Thunderous Kanabo, you can force your target and all targets of your choice in a 10 foot radius to make a Constitution saving throw (DC 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Constitution modifier).
A target takes 1d10 thunder damage on a failed save, or half as much on a success. A creature who fails the save is also deafened until the end of your next turn.
- Divine Regeneration
At 15th level, when you use your Divine Deflection feature, you can choose to suffer no damage, and regain hit points equal to the damage you would've take.
You can use this feature a number of times equal to your proficiency bonus and regain uses after finishing a long rest.
- Divine Thunder
At 18th level, when you use your Roar of Thunder, all creatures who fail the saving throw are also stunned until the end of your next turn.
